Aduro Releases 2nd EP “Hearts on Fire”

MAY 2012, NORFOLK VA. Aduro will be releasing their newest EP, “Hearts on Fire,” as a digital download on May 18th.
After garnering national attention in November 2011, when the band was named one of the Top 50 Independent Artists in the world by Aloft Hotel's Live in the Vineyard, Aduro began working with Clay Garden Studios to produce their second EP, “Hearts on Fire.” The group's last EP, “Listen,” was lauded by reviewers such as Popcultureshock: “The opening track 'House of Cards' grabs you immediately with its playful guitar, mellow drums and rich vocals... [offering] a different taste of rock that most of today’s alternative bands can’t begin to compete with.”
“Hearts on Fire” will introduce listeners to another side of Aduro. “We've evolved together as a group, and this album reflects that... Music offers an opportunity to express the unspeakable, and the songs on this EP exemplify the extraordinary toils of the human psyche,” says lead singer, Travis Heath. While the group hasn't rescinded their catchy hooks, powerful rhythm section, or sonorous guitar and synth layers, the new album adds a dynamic intensity that helps reach the emotional core of the listener.
“Hearts on Fire” is available for purchase online through Bandcamp, iTunes, and Amazon starting May 18. The release will be featured on NPR's “Out of the Box,” WROX, Z104, and WCWM, among others. Review copies and Press Packets are available from the band; send all requests for these materials to aduromusic@gmail.com.

Aduro Norfolk, Virginia

Fusing elements of post-rock with more traditional rock stylings, the Indie-Rock band Aduro from Norfolk, VA combines tight, driving drum and bass rhythms with ambient guitar and synth lines to provide a solid foundation for frontman Travis Heath’s powerful rock vocals. Their breakout single, “House of Cards,” took them to a dominant position regionally in early 2011. ... more
